Equipment
I have my own professional percussion equipment, I play Natal congas with my hands or with sticks, depending on the situation requirement of the gig, I also use congas with sticks. Roto toms, timbales, timbales are percussion instrument normally used with Latin American music,
Congas – the sound of congas
Timbales – I love Latin music, you often hear the sound of timbales in Latin music, and adding the sharp rim shot and drum sound often used to lift the rhythm & vibe of the song, there a great instrument and are often commented on when playing gigs.
Cowbells- I have a set of 3 cowbells; they have a unique sound, are very effective and used to help drive the beat along and also used to play a melody or a tune layered over the music.
Cymbals -I have a forever expanding collection of cymbals, different sizes and different types of metal …some are even hand hammered, cymbals are part of any percussionist setup!
